The Lip Bar released “An Island Gyal” collection in partnership with Jamaican-American singer Justine Skye as an ode to her yaad heritage. The Caribbean inspired collaboration with the Lip Bar offers vibrant, pigmented shades at a $14-$25 price range that every West Indian gyal could rock.
Keeping up with Jamaica is something Justine does often. She goes back when she can and even went for her birthday When Lipbar founder Melissa Butler asked Justine Skye how she stays connected to her roots, she says, “It’s not something I force to keep apart of me, it just happens naturally. Everytime I talk to my grandparents or the music I listen to. It’s like embedded into me.”
