Nailah Blackman’s New EP, ‘The Reel’ Is Growth in Soca

Nailah Blackman is coming full force with her first EP, The Reel.

Prior to this new album, Nailah’s had hit songs like Workout with Kes, Badishh with Shenseea, and Brave with Erphaan Alves and Sekon Sta. To gear up for this new release, she debuted the single, Sweet & Loco and set the tone for what was soon to come.

The Trinbagonian singer released a short film with some of Jamaica’s gifted to hype up the EP’s debut. It was directed by 300K, produced by Sharine Taylor, and styled by Neko Kelly.

With The Reel, Nailah Blackman brings us into her journey of finding herself. She breaks from the Soca mold most know her to have. She introduces us to a side of her artistry we’ve never seen while tackling an idea of self worth.

Standout tracks like Boujee and No Barbie show off Nailah’s amazing versatility and the extra spice that separates her from other artistes. The 7 track album boasts one feature from Trinidad James on Break It Down. That means more sweetness for your ears!
