Koffee Wins Grammy Award for “Best Reggae Album”

Jamaican artist, Koffee, wins her first GRAMMY for “Best Reggae Album” for her “Rapture” EP.

19-year-old Mikayla Simpson makes history as the youngest reggae artist and the first female artist to win a Grammy for the category. She was nominated alongside Julian Marley, Sly & Robbie, Roots Radics, Steel Pulse, and Third World.

According to Billboard, “Rapture” spent 32 weeks on its Reggae albums chart. The EP’s lead single “Toast” is one of the biggest reggae singles of 2019.
